Description: Under the leadership of the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine, the Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting with the operations of all facets of the sports medicine program. This 10-month position involves administering proper care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for NCAA Division III student-athletes competing within Keuka College’s intercollegiate athletic teams. The Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training coverage for practices and events, both home and away (with travel as assigned), and assist with the preparticipation process and athletic medical clearance.
Qualifications:
Masters degree required.
Certified in athletic training by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
Current certification in First Aid, CPR / AED as required by the NATABOC
New York State Board License (or be eligible) required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Maintain yearly continuing education units as required by the NATABOC.
Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs and concerns of students, faculty, College staff and the public.
Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
