This policy describes the type of personal information CATS may collect when athletic trainers, team physicians, allied healthcare professionals, approved providers contractors, exhibitors, sponsors, university/college administrators, and others (collectively “Users”) interact with or utilize our services and resources, enroll as members, or visit our website (www.collegeathletictrainer.org). “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or organization.

Personal Information Collected by CATS
CATS collects personal information that you voluntarily provide to CATS when you create a CATS account profile and/or complete applications or forms on or provided through our website, or otherwise contact us via the website or email links contained in our website. The personal information we currently accumulate or may accumulate in the future includes: individual name, address, telephone and/or email contact, credentials or licensure, years of service, information related to the completion of continuing education units (CEUs), and correspondence and materials related to the above. We accumulate business contact information for approved providers, exhibitors, sponsors, contractors, university/college administrators, and others including: Company name, contact information, email addresses, mailing addresses, web pages and phone numbers. As is true of most websites, we may collect information from you using automated means such as cookies, beacons, or online data analytics tools when you use our website. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but certain features of our website may not perform as expected, if cookies are disabled. CATS does not register or respond to “do not track” signals from your browser. We also may gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, MAC addresses and device IDs, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and/or clickstream data.

● To help us to design, or improve, our education programs and process so we can provide you with quality programs and services

● To assist us in the research and development of programs and standards of practice to assist you.
Employee access to personal information is limited to those with a reason to know such information for CATS administrative purposes or to assist you in some way, such as with renewals or answering your questions. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
Credit card payments submitted to the CATS are processed directly by our third-party payment processor. CATS does not collect, store, share or otherwise use any financial information, such as credit/debit card number, expiration date or security code submitted to CATS.
Third Party Use
CATS creates targeted lists containing personal information, including but not limited to mailing and email addresses, of CATS members and event attendees to send notifications on behalf of providers of continuing education, Athletic Trainer alliance organizations, researchers, approved providers, exhibitors, and sponsors. You may request that your name and/or specific means of contact be excluded from these distribution lists at any time by emailing the data coordination at cats@collegeathletictrainer.org

CATS is committed to the security of your personal information. CATS uses commercially reasonable security standards and procedures to protect all of our operational and data processing systems from being accessed by any unauthorized person.

It is our policy not to further disclose your personal information except in the performance of bona fide organizational due diligence or where necessary in connection with the following purposes:
● To contractors, service providers and exhibitors we partner with to deliver our services and support our legitimate activities related thereto.
