Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is seeking a highly motivated individual grounded in evidence-based practice for an Interim Athletic Trainer to fill a maternity leave position. This is a 4-month non-benefits position beginning August 1, 2025 until December 5, 2025. This position is contracted to pay at a rate of $45 per hour for a 30-hour weekly commitment. A robust candidate should have excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a positive disposition, along with strong time management and organizational skills. Sport assignments to be shared with other staff members for this position may include: Water Polo, Football, Men’s Volleyball, Sailing, and Track & Field. Sport assignments are subject to change based on need and staff availability.
MIT sponsors 33 intercollegiate athletic teams and supports both NCAA Division I (rowing only) & Division III programs. MIT is a proud member of the New England Women and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). The Sports Medicine staff consists of 7 full time Athletic Trainers, 1 Transition to Practice Athletic Trainer, and 4 Team Physicians.
