    The Department of Athletic Training is currently seeking an Advanced Post-Graduate Athletic Trainer (APGAT) for a two-year, non-renewable contract beginning in Summer 2025 and ending in Summer 2027. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for post-master’s degree professionals to gain additional training and clinical experience with assignments in Football during the Fall and Women’s Tennis during the Winter/Spring seasons.

    As an APGAT, you will collaborate closely with coaches, researchers, world-renowned physicians, and other professionals to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. This position offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of student-athletes, contributing to their success and overall well-being.

    Program Outcome:

    Clinical: The APGAT will be prepared to provide advanced sports medicine practices to participants in any setting.

    Education: The APGAT will identify clinical interests to pursue continuing education and will commit to the mentorship and teaching of others.

    Leadership: The APGAT will be prepared to assume job responsibilities consistent with a leadership position in sports medicine upon completion of 24-month contract.

    Research Opportunity (optional): The APGAT will be prepared to replicate cutting-edge research in the field of injury prevention in combination with the Student-Athlete Research Oversight Committee (SaROC).
