    Description:

    The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is accepting applications for a post graduate internship with the Florida Gators Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams. This is a transition to practice position that will be provided autonomy with our Cross-Country teams while working closely with two staff certified athletic trainers to provide care to our Track & Field teams.  Other duties include providing coverage for the athletic training facility, supervising athletic training students, and traveling overnight as required by the sport. 

    This is a time-limited position to provide practical experience in a working environment with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. This position has an anticipated start date in summer 2025.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree
    • BOC Certified and Florida Licensure eligible within 30 days of hire date
    • Current American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Certification
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Highly organized individual with a positive attitude
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
    • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
    • Ability to work a non-standard work schedule which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and some overnight team travel

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment

    *Please note: Additional on the job training will be provided to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position.  Please note this is a non-coaching position.
