    Description:

    Are you passionate about working with student-athletes and fostering their growth on and off the field? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team and significantly impact our athletic programs. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is committed to excellence in athletic training and education.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Effectively communicate and build positive rapport with college-level student-athletes, coaches, and physicians.
    • Follow all state practicing regulations and adhere to guidelines set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
    • Ensure compliance with all NCAA and CIAA rules and regulations.
    • Assist with all team sports and camps, overseeing team conditioning and training.
    • Provide coverage for other sporting events as needed.
    • Demonstrate self-accountability and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
    • Teach 6 credit hours in our Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science (HPSS) Department.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Health, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or a related field.
    • A Master’s degree in a related field is required for the teaching component.
    • At least 1 year of athletic training experience.
    • Ability to teach and mentor student interns.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other healthcare and medical professionals.
    • Current CPR/First Aid/ED certification.
    • BOC certification.
    • Eligibility for state licensure by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners.
