The United States Military Academy is a Division I member of the NCAA and a member of the Patriot League and has an immediate full-time opening for an Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities include providing assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation care to cadet-athletes, providing education on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness, and other health-related issues, and maintaining the highest standards of care and integrity. Individuals will also coordinate record keeping of physical examinations, treatments, injury reports, and physician referrals. Will assist with any other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and adhere strictly to NCAA, Patriot League, USMA, and departmental rules and regulations. Travel with team(s) to competitive events is required. Primary sports coverage to be determined. Individuals will comply with the NATA Code of Professional Practice and New York State Professional Practice guidelines.

Master's degree
Board of Certification
NATA certification
AED/CPR certified
NY State Board of Education certification or eligible
Drivers License
US Resident
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to travel, work weekends and exposure to all kinds of weather
Requires lifting/assisting injured athletes
Must be able to start by August 31, 2024.
