Grove City College announces an opening in the Athletics department for an Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position is responsible for prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses, evaluation and treatment of injuries, providing counsel and education to student athletes, administrative duties, and assisting with coordination and scheduling of medical coverage for home and away competitions. This position is also responsible for the supervision, education, and recruitment of students and graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers, recordkeeping and documentation, working with doctors and other allied health professionals to deliver care to student athletes, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or the Head Athletic Trainer.
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in health-related field, with current NATA certifications. One (1) to two (2) years in athletic training is preferred. Entry level graduates with NATA certification will be considered.
