    Responsible for assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures to assure maximum care and safety in the physical conditioning of student-athletes participating in activities and sports sponsored by Florida State University Intercollegiate Athletics; has specific, direct involvement with the Football program.

    Coordinate a preventative conditioning program for student-athletes within assigned sport and develop rehabilitative and conditioning therapy for injured athletes. Perform injury assessment/evaluation, administer treatment, and/or provide referrals. Assist in the supervision of athletic training students working with/on student-athletes and coverage of athletic training services for year round practices, home contests and away contests

    Liaison between the football student-athletes and the Athletic Department clinical psychologist for mental health issues to include substance abuse Intervention and/or referral to the clinical psychologist.

    Maintain working relationships with the Athletic Department Administration, coaching staff, university medical personnel and medical professionals outside of the University.

    Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the Sports Medicine Budget relating to football medical care. Assist with the annual updating, monitoring and administration of the Sports Medicine Policy and Procedures Manual which includes the Emergency Action Plan for the Sports Medicine Department/all athletic training facilities.

    Responsible for the safeguarding of confidential medical and Personal information concerning the student-athletes and athletic training students. Responsible for medical record keeping in a timely fashion and in adherence to all HIPPA, FERPA, federal, state, local and university mandates and regulations

    Master's degree and one year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience.

    (Note: Higher education may substitute at the comparable rate.)

    Licensed, Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association

    CPR and First Aid Certified, or the ability to obtain prior to hire

    Experience working with NCAA Intercollegiate athletes.
