    Job Summary:

    Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries. They will participate in program organization, and will assist in the supervision and education of intern athletic trainers and work-study students. Your dedication to the welfare of our athletes and your commitment to excellence will be essential in helping our sport teams thrive. This is a full-time 10-month position.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

    • Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of student-athletes.

    • Maintain accurate medical records and injury documentation.

    • Provide immediate care during practices and games, including taping, bracing, and emergency response.

    • Educate athletes on injury prevention and proper rehabilitation techniques.

    • Assist in the organization and execution of pre-season physicals and screenings.

    • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.


    Pay, Benefits and Perks:

    • The targeted hiring range for the role based on the position requirements is $59,500

    • $1,500 sign on bonus (½ paid at first check and ½ paid after 90 days of eligibility requirements are met).

    Qualifications: Education/Skills Requirements:


    Required:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training or internship program

    • Knowledge of NCAA regulations and certification by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association

    • BOC certification for the Athletic Trainer

    • CPR/FPR/AED/SFA certification (Instructor preferred)

    • Maine State ATC license.


    Preferred:

    • Master’s in a related field of Sports Medicine.


    Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents:

    Required:

    • 3-5 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer

    Preferred:

    • Prior experience in a collegiate setting.
