Lipscomb University Athletics is seeking applicants for the position of assistant athletic trainer. The assistant athletic trainer will report directly to the head athletic trainer. The assistant athletic trainer will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, physician referral, and medical documentation of athletic injuries and illnesses. This is a full-time, 12-month position, with primary responsibility being all medical and healthcare needs for Baseball and Women's Golf. Position requires daily practice coverage, game coverage, in-season travel for baseball (including weekends and holidays). Travel may be required occasionally for in-season golf matches and Atlantic Sun conference championships.
Job Requirements
NATA/BOC certified athletic trainer.
State of Tennessee Licensed AT and/or eligible for Tennessee license.
AHA CPR/AED certification.
Master's degree in related field required. Minimum of 2 years experience as an athletic trainer. Experience as an athletic trainer at the collegiate level is required. Division I experience is preferred.
Individual must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes. The individual must also have working knowledge of NCAA rules. Must adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the NCAA, the Lipscomb University athletic department, and the Atlantic Sun Conference.
