College Athletic Trainers' Society

Upper Iowa University has two positions open, and the selected applicant(s) will be working with football and men’s or women’s basketball teams. The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the head athletic trainer and to the director of athletics. The Assistant Athletic Trainer is an active member of the sports medicine team intimately involved with injury prevention, recognition, and treatment for Upper Iowa University student-athletes while maintaining accurate records of student-athletes physicals, injuries, rehabilitation programs, and doctor consultations. The assistant athletic trainer must assist in providing all athletic training services, as necessary, for all sports and the athletics department as assigned by the head athletic trainer. The assistant athletic trainer must also meet the professional development and service expectations of Upper Iowa University.
