Syracuse University, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, Intercollegiate Rowing Association, Collegiate Hockey Associate, and Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges, is seeking applications for the part-time/temporary position of Resident Athletic Trainer (potential sports assignment: Football, Men’s Rowing, Men’s/Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field, and Men’s/Women’s Lacrosse). These part-time/temporary positions will also assist with the coverage of our Cheer Team. Syracuse University, located in Syracuse, NY, has over 550 student-athletes competing in 18 NCAA Division I varsity sports. Please specify if you are applying for the FOOTBALL internship position.
Serve as a certified athletic trainer for teams as assigned. Provide quality comprehensive care for ALL student-athletes through prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of injuries and illnesses and assist with injury rehabilitation. Traveling nationally and internationally with the team. Compile and maintain injury and treatment documentation for the Sports Medicine Department including injury tracking and reporting – Assist with supervision of the Electronic Medical Records. Assist with establishing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring athletics training services to all student-athletes.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of BOC exam by start of employment.
New York Athletic Training Certification eligible by the start of employment.
Passed background check.
