Job Description:
Lamar University is seeking applicants for multiple graduate assistant athletic trainer positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Payment includes a full-time graduate school tuition waiver (in state/out of state), a $1,200 per month stipend as well as yearly professional association and state licensure dues. These positions assist the sports medicine staff in providing comprehensive health care to Lamar University student athletes. The graduate assistant athletic trainer also acts as a supervisor to undergraduate students in the athletic training apprenticeship program (TX licensure program).
Sport Assignments: Track/Cross Country, Soccer/Tennis, Volleyball/Tennis, Tennis/Baseball (assist)
Start Date: July 2022
Degree Options: Nutrition, Public Health, or Exercise Science

Candidate Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree or entry level master’s degree in Athletic Training
Licensure as an athletic trainer in the state of Texas upon hiring date; Temporary License is acceptable
Board of Certification ATC
Current CPR certification
