Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer Position
Troy University, a Division I FBS Institution in the Sun Belt Conference with 16 sports and over 450 student-athletes, is seeking one Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with strong desire to work in collegiate athletics. Located in Troy, AL. Staff of 8 full-time Athletic Trainers and 6 graduate assistant Athletic Trainers.
· Seeking 1 BOC Certified Athletic Trainer to begin January 2023
Earn your Master’s degree while you gain experience from a seasoned staff of Athletic Trainers, world-renowned orthopedic physicians from Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, AL, and skilled local primary care physicians. Minimum two-year commitment required, with at least one summer. Sports to be determined.
Package includes:
· Full tuition waiver – Master’s Degree of your choice
· $3000 room and board stipend (Fall and Spring semesters, summer $1500)
· Bi-weekly pay (approximately $250 per month Fall/Spring, 10 months)
· Loan of books
· Extra money opportunities: Camps in summer; HS outreach coverage
· Preceptor in Troy’s ELM/MSAT program
· Reimbursement for AL state licensure, liability insurance, and CPR certifications annually
