Description: Sentara Healthcare is seeking applicants for the Head Athletic Trainer position to lead our team at Hampton University. Hampton University is a NCAA Division I institution participating in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) conference. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will join our team of 10 athletic trainers. They are responsible for ensuring and advocating for the health and well-being of student-athletes, through proper injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. They are also responsible for other miscellaneous related duties.
Our Sentara Sports Medicine Team has made incredible strides in our expansion over the past couple of years. We currently have approximately 40 athletic trainers on staff at this time, and with this growth, we have also been able to expand our support of each of our contract sites. Qualifications: Must have current BOC certification. Must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Experience with Men’s Basketball preferred. Availability to work regular days, mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
