    The University of South Florida (USF) Athletic Medicine Department is seeking applications for three (3) Certified Athletic Training Interns. These are one-year positions with the potential for renewal for a second year, based on performance and departmental needs.

    Sport Assignments

    Interns will be assigned to one of the following areas:

    • Football
    • Men’s and Women’s Basketball (one Intern to support both teams)
    • Track & Field/ CC

    These positions are structured as entry-level roles designed to provide mentorship and professional development. Each intern will work closely under the supervision of full-time athletic trainers currently assigned to their respective sport programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
    • Provide practice and competition coverage
    • Support daily athletic training room operations
    • Collaborate with sports medicine staff, strength and conditioning, and team physicians

    Minimum Qualifications

    • BOC Certification through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
    • Florida State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure)
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

    Compensation

    Certified interns receive:

    • A competitive Monthly stipend
    • Benefits package
