    Job Summary

    Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and supervising team physicians with the delivery of athletic health care for ‎intercollegiate athletes and athletic teams.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • The Athletic Trainer will be a member of the Purdue Sports Medicine Department working under the supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and team physicians to deliver athletic health care for ‎intercollegiate athletes and athletic teams, mainly Football. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:
      • Provide service care given of emergency needs of student-athletes.
      • Provide immediate Rx rehabilitation for patients.
      • Provide supervision of returning student-athlete to athletic activity.
      • Provide appropriate documentation of care.
    • Serve as the primary rehabilitation coordinator, fostering seamless communication and integration among all members of the sports medicine and performance team.
    • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced athletic training staff, promoting best practices in rehabilitation and injury management.
    • Lead collaborative case reviews utilizing advanced clinical reasoning to establish holistic and innovative return-to-play strategies.
    • Supervise athletic training curriculum students as assigned.
    • Maintain appropriate medical records for student-athletes health care.
    • Execute administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine.
    • Address other related health care problems as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and/or supervising team physician.
