Job Description: Under the supervision of the Asst AD for Sports Medicine & Performance provide athletic training services as part of the sports medicine team to the Daemen intercollegiate athletic teams and or club sports (as needed) under the direction of and collaboration with the designated Team Physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health or Human Performance or related field and one (1) year of direct clinical experience as a BOC Athletic Trainer preferred. Bachelors degree required.
- Strong time management, interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Be able to apply a 'team' approach to the delivery of student-athletic health care.
- Must be able to work long periods under conditions requiring moderate physical demands.
- Tolerate long periods of standing, frequent bending, stooping, walking and lifting.
- Requires exposure of outdoor elements and the ability to tolerate extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and travel with teams when necessary.
- Valid driver's license required. License must meet insurance company rules and regulation for driving underwriting criteria.
