The University of Tulsa is seeking Certified Athletic Trainer Interns for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Potential start date would be mid to late June or early July. Potential sport assignments include: football, softball, volleyball, tennis, and rowing.
These positions are contracted through Oklahoma Surgical Hospital. Includes monthly stipend, reimbursement for state licensure fees, and CEU opportunities. Must be BOC Certified and eligible for Oklahoma licensure prior to the start date. Some team travel is required during each team's championship season. You can expect autonomous learning as well as mentorship through these internships.
The Certified Athletic Trainer Intern for Sports Medicine coordinates the medical care of student-athletes in assigned sports, including the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses. The individual will assist in the daily operation of the athletic training room and possibly act as a preceptor in the master's level athletic training program. This position reports directly to the Director and Assistant Director of Athletic Training.
