Job Description:
Louisiana Christian University is seeking applicants for an Athletic Trainer to start December 1, 2024. The Athletic Trainer is a professional position responsible for providing healthcare to the student-athletes at Louisiana Christian University, being present for sports practices and contests; prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; maintaining up-to-date injury documentation and treatment records, physician referrals as appropriate; and administrative duties as assigned. Sports assignments will be determined based on departmental needs and strengths of the candidate, with other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and Athletic Director. The Athletic Trainer is required to abide by the policies, rules, and regulations established by Louisiana Christian University, the Red River Athletic Conference, and the NAIA, as well as abide by the laws and ethics set forth by the Board of Certification and Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
This will be an 11-month position, with no duties during the month of June. LCU provides a salary ($45,000) and benefit package including medical insurance, matched retirement, and matched health savings account. LCU Sports Medicine covers the annual Louisiana licensure renewal fee, annual BOC renewal fee, NATA dues, and provides an annual CEU allotment.
Qualifications:
- BOC certified
- Louisiana State Licensure prior to December 1, 2024
