    SUNY Cortland, a state university in Cortland, NY, is looking to fill a newly created assistant athletic trainer position. Sport coverage is planned to be women's volleyball and men's wrestling. Job description is listed below with link to apply. 

    Salary range: $55-65k commensurate with experience

    A primary role of the athletic trainer is to work as member of the medical staff in providing prevention, preconditioning, conditioning, treatment, care, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate athletes. Athletic Trainers will work as a preceptor in the
    CAATE– accredited athletic training program. Annual 10 – month obligation dates are 8/01-5/31.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a professional athletic training education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
    • Clinical or work experience in the practice of college or university athletic training service
    • Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification
    • New York State license as a Certified Athletic Trainer, or eligible upon appointment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree from a professional athletic training education program accredited by the Commission on accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
    • College or university athletic training service professional experience with a collision sport.
    • College or university athletic trainer preceptor experience
    • 2 or more years of post-certification/licensure professional experience
    • Current New York State license as a Certified Athletic Trainer
