Dartmouth College is looking for to fill two Athletic Trainer positions. Sport assignments: equestrian/track and field and volleyball/baseball
Position Purpose; To provide primary athletic healthcare for the men and women athletes of Dartmouth College and to provide Athletic Training coverage for sports practices and contests, including evaluation of athletic injuries, immediate treatment, documentation, physician referral as is appropriate and the design and implementation of rehabilitation programs.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:
- Masters plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Two years experience in college or university athletic training setting.
- Experience working with a wide range of both men’s and women’s athletic teams.
- Experience at effectively treating both traumatic and overuse type injuries.
- Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine or Related Field.
- Knowledge and skill in the use and application of various electrical modalities, including ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and iontophoresis.
- Knowledge and skill in the application of various preventive taping procedures
- Knowledge and skill in the administration of therapeutic & preventive exercise protocols.
- Skilled at developing rehabilitation programs for a range of common athletic injuries.
- Skilled at the systematic evaluation of athletic injuries.
- Certification by the NATABOC.
- Eligible for State of NH Athletic Training License.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, coaches athletes and administrators.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
- Additional, related certifications, such as FMS, Active Release Techniques, Muscle Energy, Graston Technique, CSCS are highly valued and encouraged.

Key Accountabilities
Description:
Provides comprehensive athletic training care to various student athletes using an evidence based approach.
Percentage Of Time 15:
- Responsible for the daily evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sport related injuries, as well as preventative and preparticipation preparation.

- Travels with assigned teams to away contests.

- Screens pre-season health histories in order to identify potential problems and refers qualifying conditions or injuries to the appropriate medical care provider for follow-up.

- Works collaboratively with other athletic trainers, physicians, physical therapists and others to provide high quality healthcare tailored to the needs of each student athlete including; development and implementation for rehabilitation programs, making appropriate and timely referrals and return to play decisions.

- Serves as a liaison between athletes, coaches, head athletic trainer, and team physicians. Communicates injury status, rehabilitation progress, and appropriate activity levels of injured athletes to appropriate individuals.

- Remains current on latest developments and advances in sports medicine through journal review, and attendance at conferences, seminars, and clinics.

- Maintains facilities, equipment, modalities and supplies. Maintains a working understanding of all equipment usage and general preventive maintenance procedures.
