Lamar University is seeking applicants for a full time Assistant Athletic Trainer. Lamar University sponsors 17 varsity sports and competes at the NCAA Division 1 / FCS level as a member of the Southland Athletic Conference. This is a full-time position with benefits package including free healthcare coverage for employee.

Position Duties
As a member of our team, you will have an impact on our clients through accomplishment of the following responsibilities:
- Provide medical services to Lamar University student athletes under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine.
- Assist team Physician and Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in injury recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, and conditioning of the student-athlete. Accurately maintain all records and reports (physical examinations, injury records, physician notes, treatment & rehabilitation notes, insurance claims, etc.).
- Supervise graduate assistant athletic trainers as assigned.
- Serve as a clinical preceptor for graduate and undergraduate level athletic training students.
- Oversee satellite athletic training facility (soccer/softball complex).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine.
Salary
$44,000 - $46,000
