Certified Athletic Trainer
George Mason University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Atlantic-10 Athletic Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 12 month administrative professional position as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities:
The Certified Athletic Trainer assists in the daily operation and duties of the Athletic Training Facilities. Team assignments will be for the following sports teams: men’s soccer and wrestling, or as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer. The incumbent will also provide supervision and clinical instruction of athletic training students in educational programs if they should choose to take a student.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or training/certification and work experience that equates to an advanced degree;
- NATABOC Certification and eligibility for Virginia licensure;
- Virginia license required at date of employment;
- Professional rescuer CPR/AED Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in intercollegiate athletics, particularly in injury prevention and rehabilitation;
- A growth mindset and high adaptability.
